Roof Replacement
A full tear-off and new roof system, built layer by layer so nothing gets covered up that shouldn’t be.

What we actually do
- 1
Full tear-off to the decking — no layering new shingles over old ones.
- 2
Decking inspected board by board; any soft or delaminated sheathing gets replaced before anything else goes down.
- 3
Ice and water shield installed along eaves, valleys, and roof penetrations.
- 4
Synthetic underlayment run across the full deck.
- 5
Architectural shingles — Owens Corning Duration on most of our recent jobs — installed following the manufacturer’s nailing pattern, six nails per shingle in high-wind zones.
- 6
New flashing at chimneys, walls, and valleys; ridge vent installed for balanced attic airflow; yard swept with a magnet before the crew leaves.
How to tell if this is your problem
Shingles that are curling, cupping, or missing granules
Daylight visible through the roof deck from inside the attic
A leak that reappears in the same spot after being patched more than once
Roof is past the manufacturer’s expected lifespan for the shingle type
A soft spot or give felt underfoot while standing on the roof

Roof Replacement FAQ
How long does a full roof replacement take?
Most single-family roofs are torn off and fully replaced in one day, weather permitting. Steep or complex rooflines can run into a second day.
Do you replace the plywood decking or just the shingles?
The decking gets checked board by board during tear-off. Any sheet that’s soft, delaminated, or water-damaged is replaced before underlayment goes down — that’s part of the tear-off, not an upsell.
Will my insurance cover a full replacement?
If the roof has storm or hail damage, a full replacement is usually covered under the policy. A roof at the end of its lifespan from wear alone is typically treated as a maintenance item, not a claim. We can walk the roof with you and point out which category it falls into before you file anything.
Which shingles do you install?
Owens Corning Duration architectural shingles on most of our recent jobs. We’ll install a different line if you request one or your insurance carrier specifies it. Either way, it’s always a full tear-off — we never install new shingles over an old layer.
